June 23 - The Second Annual Truel Watts Memorial Golf Tournament will be held June 23rd beginning at 8:00 a.m. at The Pines of Millbrook. Watts was very active in the Millbrook-Coosada Kiwanis Club and worked very hard with the development of the “Reading is Fundamental Program.” All funds raised from this golf tournament will be used to support “RIF” programs.  For additional information please contact April or Sherry at 285-0800.

June 25 - Millbrook City Council will meet for their regular session at 7 p.m. in the Municipal Building, 3481 Grandview Road. The council will meet in a work session immediately preceding the business meeting at 6:00 p.m. 

June 30 – There will be a city-wide Cleanup Day on June 30th from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.  Waste Management will provide containers at Millbrook City Hall to permit residents to dispose of those items not routinely collected through the residential disposal system.  Clean out your yards, attics, and storage buildings and take the items to the disposal site.  Sorry, but they can not accept appliances, paint or paint thinners, batteries, oils or gases, nor tree limbs longer than 4 feet or more than 6 inches in diameter.  
 July 4 - Millbrook Men’s Club Fourth of July BBQ.  All dollars raised are re-invested in the community.

July 9 - Millbrook City Council will meet for their regular session at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Building, 3481 Grandview Road. The council will meet in a work session immediately preceding the business meeting at 6 p.m.

July 9 - The Elmore County Commission will meet in regular session. Work session begins at 5 p.m. in the old Autauga County Courthouse, and the regular session begins immediately afterwards. The public is invited to attend.

July 19 - Thursday, July 19 will be opening night for The Millbrook Community Players presentation of “Bless Me Father” by Craig Alpaugh, directed by Stephanie Tatkenhorst. Shows will run Thursday through Sunday, July 19-29. 
Showtimes will be 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights with matinees at 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. For more information log on to www.millbrooktheatre.com

July 20 - The Humane Society of Elmore County will hold their annual Wags & Whiskers “Bone-A-Fit” Silent Auction.  
The event will be held at the Millbrook Civic Center beginning at 6:30 pm.  Everything under the sun is possible at our auction – artwork, furniture, gift certificates, dolls, trips, collectibles, one-of-a-kind items, clothes, autographed items, and who knows what else. To preview the items for auction go to our website: http://www.elmorehumane.com.  Besides finding treasures and helping animals, attendees will be treated to  plenty of heavy hors d’oeuvres, desserts, soda, wine, beer, coffee, door prizes and even entertainment.  There will be an admission fee of $10 per person or $15 per couple. Each person will receive two tickets for drinks and a ticket for door prizes which will be awarded throughout the evening).  Doors open at 6:30 pm, bidding begins at 7 pm.  For more information send an email to hselco@bellsouth.net  or call 567-3377.

July 27 – The City of Millbrook will hold its annual Summerfest celebration at The Pines municipal golf course on July 27. Festivities begin at 6 p.m. Parking and shuttle services will be provided. Non-profit vendors will offer food items, souvenirs and other items. Live bands will be available to entertain the crowd. As with every year the celebration will end with a “world class” fireworks demonstration. For more information please call City Hall at 285-6428.
