Deprez

Deprez, Joyce N., 78, a resident of Deatsville, Alabama, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2013. Memorial services were held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend John Varner officiating. She was preceded in death by parents; one son, Garth D. Heinen; one brother, Dennis Lambrect. As a young woman, she and her step-father opened the first KFC take out restaurant in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Later on, she and her husband, Joseph, owned and operated a cheesecake manufacturing company in Phoenix, Arizona for 23 years. Mrs. DePrez survived by her loving husband, Joseph F. DePrez, three daughters, Kimberly Corrigan, Melanie Conroy and Tamara Heinen; one son, Lance Heinen; four sisters, Nedra Allison, Carol Peterson, Judy Juranek and Carmen Hoagland; five grandchildren, Ryan Corrigan, Jacob Corrigan, Michael Corrigan, Donna Heinen and Nicole Heinen,; two great-grandchildren, Emma Corrigan and Noah Corrigan; extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Cancer Wellness Foundation, 4145 Carmichael Road, Montgomery, AL 36106.

Pitts

Pitts, Mr. William Grady age 54, a resident of Mobile, AL passed away on Friday, April 5, 2013. Private services were held at a later date. Mr. Pitts was retired from the United States Coast Guard after 29 years of service and was co owner of Pitts Enterprises in Theodore, AL. He is survived by his wife Glenda Smith Pitts of Mobile, AL, sons Brad Pitts of Mobile, AL, Kyle Pitts of Mobile, AL, father Marion Pitts, Sr. of Deatsville, AL, sister, Janet Jenkins of North Carolina, brother Raymond Pitts of Mobile, AL, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in his memory. Brookside Funeral Home of Millbrook, AL directing.

Coker

Coker, Mr. Thomas "Tom" Kendrick, Jr. age 79, a resident of Prattville, AL passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, April 11, 2013. Funeral services were held on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Brookside Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Tucker officiating. Tom was retired after 31 years with the Montgomery Police Department. He also had served in the United States Army and was a mason and shriner for over 55 years. He is survived by his wife, Joyce K. Coker of Prattville, AL, daughters, Teresa K. Bolton (Tom) of Selma, AL, Sandy Houston (Stephen) of Millbrook, AL, sons Thomas "Buck" K. Coker III of Greenville, AL, Todd R. Coker ( Denise) of Deatsville, AL, seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to AlaCare Hospice of Montgomery, AL. Brookside Funeral Home of Millbrook, AL directing.

Harry

Harry, Mr. John Steven, Sr. “Steve” age 66 a resident of Millbrook, AL passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 10 a.m. from Millbrook Presbyterian Church with Dr. Steve Muzio officiating. Interment followed at 2 p.m. at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Lanett, AL. Mr. Harry was a member of Millbrook Presbyterian Church and he was retired from the United States Air Force. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Elaine Harry of Millbrook, AL, daughter Angela Harry of Calera, AL, sons Steven Harry (Wendy) of Birmingham, AL, James Harry (Christen) of Prattville, AL, sister Pacita Hale (Danny) of Albany, GA, brothers Phil Harry (Elaine) of Auburn, AL, William Harry (Jeanie) of Lanett, AL, Greg Harry (Dana) of Smiths, AL, Chris Harry (Leigh) of Lanett, AL and six grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Millbrook Presbyterian Church Building Fund. The family received friends on Friday, March 8, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Brookside Funeral Home of Millbrook, AL directing. 

Martin

Martin, Joyce “Connie” Constance, 80, a resident of Deatsville, Alabama, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 6, 2013. Funeral services were held on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial with Dr. Chris Perry officiating. Burial followed in Prattville Memory Gardens with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Martin, Jr.; two sons, Donald Lloyd and Charlie Lloyd. She is survived by one daughter, Bonita Hawthorne; one son, William “Billy” (Tammy) Martin III; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Maryetta Youngblood and Debbie Peck; four brothers, Curtis Peck, James Norman Peck, Kenny Peck and Carroll Peck; extended family members and many friends. The family received friends at Prattville Memorial on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 .m.

West

West, Mrs. Melba Louise, age 78, a resident of Millbrook, AL passed away on March 7, 2013. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, 11 AM from Brookside Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carroll Spain and Rev. Mike Johnson officiating. Interment followed Tuesday, March 12, 2013, 2 PM at Helena Cemetery, Helena, AL; Mrs. West was a member of Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Earl West. Survivors include, son, David Earl (Arlene) West, grandson, Chris (Lisa) West, granddaughter, Lindsay West, great granddaughters, Caitlin West and Hailey West, sister in law, Elizabeth Spain Franklin, numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Kevin Fancher, Billy Crouthamel, David Hatcher, Wally Hatcher, Arthur Hatcher, Hunter Tyler, Gary Graham and Craig McDaniel. Family received friends on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, 10 to 11 AM at the funeral home. Brookside Funeral Home of Millbrook, AL directing.
