April 3 - The City Council of the City of Millbrook will have a Special Council Meeting on Friday, April 3, 2015 starting at 10:30 a.m. at the Municipal Building Courtroom, 3900 Grandview Road, Millbrook, Alabama.  The purposes of the Special Meeting are to consider a Professional Services Contract for a consultant to the Mayor to improve the operations of The Pines Golf Course and any other item(s) that may come before the council. 

April 4 - The City of Millbrook and Millbrook-Area Chamber of Commerce will host a Big Fish Bass Tournament April 4 at 6:00am, Lake Jordan - Bonner’s Landing. Pre-register TODAY by calling Hal Hodge at 657-1771 or 386-4307. Hourly weigh-ins, 7:00am – 2:00pm!. Hourly guaranteed payouts of $300, $200 and $100 for the top three big fish. Overall big fish will receive $1500 guaranteed.  Overall big fish among anglers age 16 and under will receive $300.  Dinner for all pre-registered anglers on Thursday, April 2 Hosted by The City of Millbrook & the Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce.

April 11 - Millbrook-Coosada Kiwanis Club will hold their annual buffet-style pancake breakfast 7:00am-11:00am at the Plantation House Restaurant $6 per person; all proceeds benefit the local community through community reading programs and school libraries. Funds donated to the schools are used to purchase books and other instructional tools for the libraries.

April 11 - Enjoy nature at its best at the 11th Annual Alabama Flora and Fauna Arts Festival at Lanark in Millbrook, Alabama on Saturday, April 11, 2015  from 8 am to 6 pm. Admission is free. A plant presentation will be held in the back of the Heirloom Garden. There will be guest speakers, vendors and the annual plant sale Saturday with the proceeds benefiting the Lanark Gardens. Vendors will be on hand showcasing their goods during the festival.

April 11 - The Hotel Pit Bull rescue organization invite the public to a picnic, or rather Pit-nic at Cooter’s Pond. Come out and join fellow bully lovers for a day of fun in the sun while helping support Hotel Pit Bull! All well behaved dogs are welcome. All dogs must remain leashed at all times. We will have baked good for humans and pups, $1 raffle baskets, bully kissing booth, hotdogs on the grill, face painting, adoptable bullies from several local rescues, and many other vendors. We will have horse shoes set up. It's time we bring the positive bully owners together in central Alabama. Admission is FREE. April 11 - Coosada Baptist Church will have the annual Old fashioned gospel singing with a large Gaither style choir at 6pm.

April 14 - Elmore County Education Retirees Association will meet April 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Coaches Corner (Wetumpka) for their regular meeting.

April 18 - The 17 Springs Arts & Crafts Festival plus MACC Business Expo will be held Saturday, April 18, 2015 9:00am – 3:00pm. Come see local artisans and their crafts, plus two additional onsite events, the YMCA Healthy Kids Day and the MACC Business Expo. Interested in a booth? Second and Fourth Tuesdays - The Millbrook City Council meets in the Municipal Courtroom The City Council meets the second or fourth Tuesday of each month in the Judicial Complex located at 3821 Grandview Road at 6:00 p.m. Work session normally begins at 5:30 p.m. Meeting updates will be posted here as they become available.

Second and Fourth Thursdays - The Millbrook Men's Club meets the second and fourth Thursday of each month at the Millbrook Memorial Center (behind Millbrook Library on Grandview Road). The club is open to interested men who live in the Millbrook area. The club raises money through a pair of annual barbecues to support local park improvements, city ammenities, youth scholarships, scouting troops and other improvements in Millbrook. The club meets for social time at 6:30pm with the business meeting at 7pm.

First WednesdaysThe Millbrook Library Book Club invites all area readers to attend a book discussion group on the first Wednesday of each month. Meetings are usually held at 10:00a.m. at the Millbrook Library although evening meetings are sometimes scheduled. Our meeting schedule is arranged to meet the needs of the attendees. Thursdays - The Elmore County Extension Offices offers FREE Basic Parenting lessons each Thursday from 1pm-2:30pm. Program covers child development, protective factors, appropriate discipline, communication, and stress management.
