East Memorial Christian Academy (EMCA) has been behind on the scoreboard early in every game this season. Most of the time, they have not been able to overcome the deficit. But things were different Thursday night as the Wildcats overcame an early 16-0 deficit to win 35-16 over Crenshaw Academy. "I think our conditioning played a role in the outcome and we also made the correct adjustments on defense soon enough to prevent them from scoring again," said Brad Porter, head coach at EMCA.

Hunter Buce tossed a touchdown pass to David Baker to reduce the Crenshaw lead to 16-8 before halftime. Buce scored again in the third quarter and added the 2 point conversion to tie the game at 16-16. Johnny Moore scored on a reception, Sean O'Brien ran 58 yards for a touchdown and Buce dealt the final blow to the Cougars in the fourth scoring from 20 yards out.
