Last week and this week most high schools in the area celebrate homecoming. Homecoming is a perennial rite of passage for students and the atmosphere includes a mixed bag from school-spirit to shenanigans.
For Stanhope Elmore High School this is the week for homecoming. Activities this week include a Powder Puff football game Thursday evening at 6pm, a school-wide pep rally on Friday at 9am, and a homecoming parade Friday afternoon at 1:45pm.
The SEHS homecoming parade will leave the Millbrook Middle/Junior High School parking lot onto Chapman Road, turn South onto Main Street then back to the high school. The parade includes a traditional dip in a private pond on Chapman Road which leaves the senior classmen wet behind the ear.
