Grandview Road in Millbrook will be under construction over the next 2-3 weeks begining Monday, October 21 city officials say.
The Grandview Road Resurfacing Project is scheduled to begin next Monday, October 21, 2013 at 8:00 AM. Traffic signage/barrels are in place. The work will start at the AL Hwy. 14/Grandview Rd. intersection and proceed down to Main Street. The work is projected to take approximately 2-3 weeks to complete.
Those who live on or off Grandview Road or those who regularly use it will experience access issues during this period. Fred Watts, City Council President said the contractor will limit construction hours to regular business hours.
"The contractor will have appropriate traffic measures/flag men in place to allow 1-lane of continuous traffic flow along Grandview Road from 8am-5pm during work days. In the evenings & night, traffic measures will allow for both lanes to be open. I recommend you consider an alternate route or plan for delays until this project is completed. This is an ATRIP Project funded through the AL Department of Transportation and with your gasoline taxes paid to the City of Millbrook. Thank you for purchasing your gasoline in Millbrook," Watts said.
