James E. Moody, Jr. (Jim) left us to join his beloved mother, Reina, on January 20, 2014. Jim proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. "Once a Marine, Always a Marine." He was also retired from the City of Montgomery Garage Department. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Jim's name. Jim survived by Kathy, his wife of 40 years, three daughters, Kat Katechis, Toni (Greg Rollan and Mary (Tyler) Wallace. Five granddaughters, Rachel Myers, Ella Rhodes, Zolie Wallace, Lisa and Lauren Rollan. He is also survived by his father, James E. Moody Sr. (Lura), sister, Reinie (Bernie) Grubb and four brothers, Dan (Debbie) Moody, Tim (Jo) Moody, Sam (Carrie) Moody, Jon (Nikki) Moody and many beloved nieces and nephews. We would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Jackson Hospital CCU, especially Jody and Paige. Brookside Funeral Home of Millbrook, AL directing.
Millbrook police officers have made one felony arrest of a Millbrook 17-year-old, charging him with two counts of attempted murder and one count of discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle. Tanijay Woodard turned himself in Monday afternoon accompanied by a relative.Read more...
Joe Lott, former Millbrook City Councilan died on Sunday after a lenghty illness. Lott was 81.
