Bill Stone, an orator for the Sons of American Revolution, accompanied by Mack Clark and Richard Wells, presented an interesting historical program to The Millbrook Men's Club recently. The group brought with them the original fourth page of the Articles of Association, which was the document that provided the original formation of the First Continental Congress in 1774. The whereabouts of the first three pages are unknown. The group has traveled around the state to display the document and give a correct historical version of the time period. Thus far, more than 25,000 Alabama school students have seen the presentation.

The Millbrook Men's Club was established in 1941, more than 30 years before the incorporation of the City. Clarence Cowden first conceived the idea of the Millbrook Men's Club after recognizing the need for a group of interested, dedicated and thinking men who can be involved in religion, government and general improvement in the quality of life in the community.
The group meets twice per month on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays at the Millbrook Memorial Center. Any man interested in joining is invited to attend a meeting. The club raises money primarily through a pair of annual barbecue sales. The profits from these functions are used as grants to help local schools, clubs and organizations with projects, to complete projects that will benefit the community at large and to fund scholarships for local students. In the past the club has been instrumental in establishing: mail service, garbage collection, telephone service, and youth athletic programs in Millbrook.
