|Wiggins named USAA National Leadership Service Award Winner|

The Evaluation Committee of the United States Achievement Academy is pleased to announce that Ashley Catherine Wiggins (pictured) is one of the elite group that is being honored as a USAA National Leadership Service Award Winner. The committee has completed analysis of grades of previous Fine Arts winners and has selected only the top ten percent of those to qualify for the award of "Who's Who in Leadership & Service".
Ashley Wiggins is a Senior at Holtville High School. Her biography andphoto will be published in the United States Academy's Official Yearbook. Ashley is the daughter of Gary & Brenda Wiggins.
Ashley is the Drum Major at Holtville High School, President of Holtville DECA, Senior Class Officer, Girl's State Representative, Alabama Youth Leadership Award Winner, and she participated in Distinguished Young Women of Elmore County last summer. She enjoys being in plays at Millbrook Community Theatre. She has received two scholarships Troy University. She was given the Troy Excellence in Leadership Scholarship & the Girl's State Scholarship last week. Ashley plans to attend Troy University in the fall & major in Pediatric Nursing.
Relayers, cancer survivors (anyone who has ever been diagnosed with cancer), community leaders, team captains and hard workers are all needed to help plan the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. We will be Kicking Off our 2015 event for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Millbrook on January 26th at 5:30 pm, at the Millbrook Community Center Building. At this time we will begin planning the event designed to raise funds and awareness of the fight against cancer.Read more...

Dr. Andre Harrison, Deputy Superintendent of Elmore County Schools, was appointed by the Elmore County BOE to replace Dr. Jeff Langham for the remainder of this term. Langham resigned this month to take a jon with the Alabama State Board of Education.Read more...
