Smith, Mrs. Sue Stevens age 92, a resident of Millbrook, Al passed away on Monday, April 14, 2014. Graveside services were held on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. from Brookside Memorial Gardens with Rev. Tony Butler & Rev. Phil Leistner officiating. Mrs. Smith was a member of Fountain of Grace. She is survived by her husband Robert J. Smith, daughter Susan Gardner (Bruce), four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Goodson, Mr. William Ludlam, age 37, a resident of Elmore, AL passed away on April 15, 2014. Graveside services were held on Saturday, April 19, 2014, 11 am at Brookside Memorial Gardens, Millbrook, AL with Rev. Dennis James Shaw officiating. Interment followed services. Survivors include wife, Becky Goodson, daughter, Grace Nicole Goodson, son, William Gabriel Goodson, parents, Rev. Bobby and Alice Goodson, sisters, Amy Alice ( Rev. Dennis) Shaw, Nora ( Barry) Hughes, brother, Robert (Bernie) Goodson III and cherished aunt, Lynette Friend. Family and friends assembled at graveside. Caldwell, Mr. James Howard age 60, a resident of Montgomery, AL passed away on April 14, 2014 at a local hospital. Johnson, Mr. James T., Jr., age 57, a resident of Wetumpka, AL passed away on Friday, April 18, 2014 at his residence. Memorial services were held on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. from Thelma Baptist Church, 810 Weoka Road, Wetumpka, AL, with Rev. Doug Chappelle officiating. James was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. He always had a smile and enjoyed the simple things in life. He was happiest when providing joy to his wife, children and grandchildren. He was a member of Thelma Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents James T. Johnson, Sr. & Sarah Nell Jernigan Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 35 years Debbie Johnson, daughters Brandy Johnson, Jessica Johnson, sons Jay Johnson (Christy), Justin Johnson, sisters Jeanette Matherson (Ray), Janice Henderson, Joyce Laird and ten grandchildren. Charles Aubrey Evans, 76, lifelong resident of Elmore County, passed away on March 23, 2014. Born in Montgomery, Alabama on April 4, 1937, he is predeceased by his parents, Aubrey L. Evans and Voncile Morrison Evans and an infant son, Derrick L. Evans. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patricia "Patt" Essex Evans, Elmore, AL; four children and their spouses, Michelle E. and Jeff Martin, Wetumpka, AL; C. Reid and Tina Evans, Millbrook, AL; Michael D. and Luciene Evans, Santa Fe, NM; Lori B. and Hal Huguley, Opelika, AL; one sister, June Evans Carpenter and her husband, Jerry, Wetumpka, AL; eight grandchildren, Aubrey J. Lassiter, Jesse Martin, Wetumpka; Austin Evans, Carmen Evans, Millbrook; Charles J. Evans, Columbus, GA; Dandara Evans, Santa Fe, NM; Hayden Huguley, Abbey Huguley, Opelika; three nieces, Leslie C. Scarborough and husband Doug, Birmingham; Lynlee Carpenter, Pelham; Lauren Carpenter, New York City; and mother-in-law, Dot Lee, Mobile. He was a graduate of the Wetumpka High School Class of 1955 and an alumnus of Auburn University. He began his career with the Gulf Oil Corporation as a distributor for the Evans Oil Company and retired from AAA Cooper Transportation. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26, from 12:45-1:45 PM at 205 Autauga Street, Wetumpka, Alabama, with a graveside memorial service at 2:00 PM from Pine View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P. O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675 or to a favorite charity.
Roberts, Mr. James Earnest "Jimmy" age 42, a resident of Titus, AL passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2014. Memorial services were held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Brookside Funeral Home with Rev. Joey Elksky officiating. Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his parents Archie & Sandra Brady Roberts. He is survived by his wife Dana Roberts of Titus, AL, daughter Madison Roberts of Titus, AL, son Tanner Watts of Titus, AL, brothers Jody Roberts of Tupelo, MS, Archie Roberts of Pass Christian, MS, sisters Suzanne Collins of Gulf Port, MS, Michelle Murphy of GA, father & mother-in-law James Marty & Annette Hunt of Elmore, AL.
