Hassell, Mr. Raymond Earl, Jr., age 74 a resident of Millbrook, Alabama passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 29, 2014. Memorial services were held on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 12 noon at Glynwood Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Hassell and Rev. Bruce Hose officiating. The interment followed at Alabama National Cemetery with military honors. Mr. Hassell was a member of Glynwood Baptist church, a Deacon Ameritus and a veteran of the United States Airforce serving 1957-1961. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Nell Price Hassell of Millbrook, AL, daughter Gloria Ann Brawn (Dan) of Bangor, Maine, sons Rev. Bill Hassell (Janee') of Dothan, Alabama, Mark Hassell (Carol) of West Palm Beach, Florida, Rick Hassell of Deatsville, Alabama, mother Lillian Hassell of Taylor, South Carolina, sisters Jean Atkinson (Sam) of Taylor, South Carolina, Ann Harris (Scott) of Cora Peake, North Carolina, brother Bob Hassell of Taylor, South Carolina, three grandchildren Iris Hassell Coleman (Carter) of Sonoma, California, Joshua Hassell of Atlanta, Georgia, Grace Hassell of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Sisters-in-law Mary P. Tucker of Montgomery, Alabama, Linda P. evans of Deatsville, Alabama, numerous nieces and nephews, and many close friends and senior adults of Glynwood Baptist Church. Leonard, Mr. Billy Joe, Sr. age 83 a resident of Georgiana, AL formerly of Elmore, AL passed away on Friday, May 2, 2014 at a local hospital. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Brookside Funeral Home with Rev. Watson Wasden officiating. The interment followed with military honors at Brookside Memorial Gardens. Mr. Leonard was retired from the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by his son Benny Leonard. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Sarah Leonard of Georgiana, AL, daughter Cindi McCullough (Jerry) of Georgiana, AL, son Billy J. Leonard, Jr. of Greenville, AL, brother Jimmy Leonard of Memphis, TN, daughter-in-law Vicki A. Leonard of Alamogordo, NM, granddaughter Lydia Ann Williams of Sumter, SC, grandson Michael Leonard of St. Louis, MO, great-granddaughter Camryn Williams of Sumter, SC. Robertson, Tara Michelle, 37, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, in Alabama. Funeral services were held on Monday, May 5, 2014, in University Baptist Church with Dr. Travis Coleman officiating. Interment followed in Jackson National Cemetery. The family received friends for visitation on Sunday, May 4, 2014 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at George H. Hewell & Son Funeral Home. Tara was born and raised in Jacksonville and has spent the last 18 years living in many areas around the world as a dedicated military wife and wonderful loving mother. She was preceded in death by her sister, Amanda Knutson and her poppa, Bill Jenkins. Tara is survived by her husband, Major David Robertson, USAF; her children Nickloas, Noah & Nyah; her mother, Ann May (Tommy); her father, Jeff Lockamy; her grandmother, Rosa Jenkins; her uncle, Joe Jenkins and many extended family members and friends. Kovacic, Aileen Marie, age 84, died peacefully on May 3, 2014 at her home in Millbrook, AL. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, May 5, 2014 at 11:00 am from St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Yon Jagorsky officiating. The interment followed at 2:00 pm at Woodbury City Cemetery, Woodbury. GA. Aileen was born on May 22, 1929, in Atlanta, GA, the daughter of Claude Allen Baskin and Mary Mildred Moultrie Baskin. Aileen thoroughly enjoyed quilting, traveling, camping and spending time with her grandchildren. She made many beautiful quilts in her lifetime that are cherished by her family. She kept very detailed journals of her many trips throughout the years. In 1943 Aileen began working at the Warm Springs Foundation in Warm Springs, GA. Her first real job was in Atlanta at Southern Bell. Throughout her life, she worked at several jobs, including switchboard operator, medical services receptionist, and civil service positions. One of her favorite memories was serving a Coca-Cola to President Franklin D. Roosevelt when she was working as a soda jerk at the city drug store in Warm Springs. Together for 57 years, Aileen and her loving husband Francis raised their four children while Francis was in the military, and later in Montgomery, AL, where they retired. With a very loving caring spirit, Aileen faithfully cared for her family through many challenges, but she cherished most of all the wonderful times and pleasant memories. A devout Catholic and member of St. Joseph's Church in Prattville, AL, Aileen loved the Lord and set an example for those around her through her unyielding faith. A tireless advocate for the unborn, she and Francis worked and prayed diligently for the right to life cause. Aileen was also a breast cancer survivor and always reached out to those who could benefit from her experience. Aileen is survived by her husband, Francis; son, Timothy and his wife, Cheryl Kovacic of Elmore, AL; daughter, Tina and her husband Chris Halbert of Deatsville, AL; daughter, Theresa and her husband Chuck Kemp of Millbrook, AL; daughter Tami and her husband Patrick Wallace of Hendersonville, TN; thirteen grandchildren and numerous relatives and close friends. Clifton, Linda Marie, 69, of Millbrook, AL, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Clifton, parents, John and Lodema Tinney, and her brother, Mike Tinney. She is survived by her daughter, Pam Veazey (Ken); son, Scott Clifton (Alexis); sister, Joyce Grice; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Faulkner (John); two grandchildren, Josh Veazey and Bethany Veazey. A Celebration of Life service was held at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Mike Ingram officiating. Burial followed in Alabama Heritage Cemetery. Golden, Elaine Burdell, 66, a resident of Coosada, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, following a brief illness. She is survived by her husband, Robert Golden. One son, Sgt. 1st Class U.S Army Keith (Arlene) Golden of Chester Virgina; two daughters, Sheila (Billy) Groves of Coosada, Elena (Chris) Atchison of Elmore AL; two sisters, Sara (Aaron) Jones of Montgomery, Cindy (Larry) Alford of Montgomery; one brother, Carroll (Linda) Burdell of Prichard AL; five grandchildren, Parker Groves, John Andrew Groves, Caroline Groves, Catherine Groves and Ava Rose Atchison, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Johnny Leland and Bonnie Burdell, her sister Shirley Jones; brothers, Ray Abernathy, J.L Burdell, James Burdell and Richard Burdell. Elaine with her husband, Robert, owned Lake Pharmacy and The Golden Frog Boutique in Holtville Al. She enjoyed cooking and spending quality time with her family, and was a faithful member of The Grandview Pines Church of Christ. Visitation was held Friday May 2, 2014 from the Leak Memory Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00, followed by her funeral services on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 11 AM, also at Leak Memory, with Terry Claunch officiating. Interment followed in Greenwood Cemetery.
