Special to the Indy
The SEHS Technology PLC (Professional Learning Community) brought a brain child to fruition this year with the implementation of the Technology Showcase. Students were encouraged to complete projects, for class or for fun, using various forms of technology and submit them to their teachers or directly to the PLC. The field was narrowed to a few of the best entries per category and the Showcase committee, made up of an administrator and five teachers, chose the winners from each category as well as a Best in Show. Prizes for winning students were donated by local businesses. Organizers say they hope to broaden students' use of technology. They also hope for an even bigger event at Stanhope Elmore next year.
