Gober

Gober, Mr. Howard McPherson "Mac" age 67 a resident of Autaugaville, AL passed away on Monday, May 5, 2014 at a local hospital. Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. from Voice of Victory Church at Canaan Land with Rev. Kenneth Copeland and Rev. Ben Priest officiating. The interment followed in Brookside Memorial Gardens. Mr. Gober was a evangelist and pastor of Voice of Victory Church at Canaan Land. He was also a United States Navy Veteran. He is survived by his wife Sandra Gober of Autaugaville, AL daughter Rachel Roll (Jonathan) of Prattville, AL, sons Caleb McPherson Gober and Joshua Marcus Gober both of Autaugaville, AL, grandchildren Kaden Vickers and Pierce Roll both of Prattville, AL. Pallbearers were Rodney Brock, Jeff Miller, Bryan Moore, Jason Crenshaw, Andy Casperson, and Ryan Restrepo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Canaan Land, 449 County Road 165, Autaugaville, AL 36003. Brookside Funeral Home of Millbrook, AL directing.

Brackin

Brackin, Mrs. Mable Elaine age 63, a resident of Deatsville, AL passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at a local hospital. Funeral services were held on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 12 noon from the chapel of Brookside Funeral Home with Rev. Shane Russell and Rev. Wesley Whitworth officiating. The interment followed at Lake Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Brackin was preceded in death by her parents Meron Leo Dennis and Mable Loree Nelson Dennis, sister Elizabeth Diane Dennis, brothers Meron Lee Dennis, Martin Phillip Dennis, Charles Carey Dennis. She is survived by her loving husband Charlie G. Brackin of Deatsville, AL, her children Buck Brackin (Wendy) of Marbury, AL, Tammy Cartee (Mike) of Wetumpka, AL, Michael Findley (Kelly) of Holtville, AL, Tiffany Collins (Richard) of Elmore, AL, brothers William Harold Dennis (Carolyn) of Lightwood Community, Larry Melton Dennis of Lightwood Community, grandchildren Josie Brackin,Quintin Brackin, Jordan Cartee, Katie Cartee and Brooke Findley and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Bill Dennis, Carey Dennis, Cole Dennis, Jeffrey Collins, Justin Collins and Lane Przywieczerski. Brookside Funeral Home of Millbrook, AL directing.

Noble

Noble, Fletcher Oree, Jr. "Scooter" age 47 a resident of Prattville, AL passed away on Friday, May 9, 2014. Memorial services were held on Monday, May12, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Brookside Funeral Home with Dr. Nathan Attwood officiating. He was preceded in death by his daughter Keleigh Noble and brother Michael Noble. Scooter is survived by his wife Tina Noble of Prattville, AL, sons Dayton Noble of Prattville, AL, Coleman Noble of Prattville, AL, parents Rose Marie Noble of Montgomery, AL, Fletcher O. Noble, Sr. (Laura) of Prattville, AL, grandchildren Skylar Ortega of Prattville, AL, Mason Ortega of Prattville, AL.

    The Washington Post reporting the Clinton Foundation disclosed more than $26 million in previously undisclosed donations. Rosalind Helderman and Tom Hamburger writing, “The disclosure came as the foundation faced questions over whether it fully complied with a 2008 ethics agreement to reveal its donors and whether any of its funding sources present conflicts of interest for Hillary Rodham Clinton as she begins her presidential campaign.”

    An early leak of some of Hillary Clinton’s emails while Secretary of State show concerns over the politics of the Benghazi terror attack and an outsized role played by Clinton confidant Sidney Blumenthal who blamed the terror attacks on an anti-Islam video. He later backed off that claim.  Fox News may get access to several hundred of those emails today. News as we get it.

    Republicans are gathered for the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in Oklahoma City. Senator Lindsay Graham, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, Senator Marco Rubio, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, and former FL Governor Jeb Bush are all participating.

    Jeb Bush continues to face questions about his brother’s time as President.. trying to walk a fine line between distancing himself from his brother’s unpopular positions, and remaining loyal. Bush saying "I think that in Washington, during my brother's time, Republicans spent too much money. I think he could have used the veto power - he didn't have line-item veto power, but he could have brought budget discipline to Washington, D.C."

    A Massachusetts man has pleaded not guilty to trying to kill his sick 7-year-old daughter by poisoning her with drain cleaner.
