Palmore, Barbara Elizabeth "Liz" age 49, a resident of Wetumpka, AL passed away on June 20, 2014. Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. from New Beginnings Holiness Church with Fay Leonard-Settles officiating. Interment followed at Brookside Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Palmore is survived by her mother Barbara Ann Townsend of Wetumpka, AL, father Henry Palmore, Jr. of Detroit ,MI, sister Rita Palmore Nelson (Roderick) of Wetumpka, AL, brother Lamar Palmore of Wetumpka, AL, nieces Calandra Nelson of Wetumpka, AL, Lamarla Palmore of Wetumpka, AL, nephews Nickalaus Nelson (Vannease) of Wetumpka, AL, Cameron Young of Millbrook, AL, Justin Palmore of Wetumpka, AL, Jacob Palmore of Wetumpka, AL and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Mrs. Palmore laid in state at the church one hour prior to services. Brookside Funeral Home of Millbrook, AL directing.
Robinson, Mrs. Shirley Fay, age 58, a resident of Tallassee, AL passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at a local hospital. Funeral services were held on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Brookside Funeral Home with interment at Brookside Memorial Gardens. She was preceded in death by her daughter Crystal Mae Robinson. Mrs. Robinson is survived by her daughter Jennifer Kay Robinson (Reggie Townsend) of Tallassee, AL, grandsons anthony Lee Robinson and Derrick James Robinson and many friends. The family received friends on Monday, June 30, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Brookside Funeral Home of Millbrook, AL directing.
Cousins, Mrs. Hazel Wilson, age 86, a resident of Millbrook, AL passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at a local healthcare facility. Funeral services were held on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Brookside Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Graham officiating. Interment follow at Tri-Community Cemetery. Mrs. cousins was preceded in death by her parents John Halbert Wilson, Sr. and Iola Alice Rucker Wilson, grandson William Thomas Nix "Bubba" and great grandson Austin Tierce. Pallbearers were her grandsons. She is survived by her daughters Carol C. Davis of Deatsville, AL, Jackie E. Brown Of Millbrook, AL, sons Joe M. Cousins (Carol) of Foley, AL, Doug Cousins (Tracey) of Millbrook, AL, sister Doris McCullough of Montgomery, AL, nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. The family received friends on Sunday, June 29, 2014 from 1:00 p.m - 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Brookside Funeral Home of Millbrook, AL directing.
Swindall, Pamela Shelley Wheeler, 43, who resided in Millbrook, Alabama passed away on June 24, 2014 at home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nelson R Kuhn and Jewell Simmons Kuhn.
She is survived by her husband Russell Mack Swindall III (Rusty); son Mason Russell Swindall, a brother Nelson (Sharon) Kuhn and 6 sisters Judy (James) Nichols, Lori Adams, Cheryl Moore, Terri (Rick) Riggle, Shannon Wheeler, Catherine (Andrew) Leftin. She was employed by Business Insurance Group of Montgomery. Funeral services were held on Friday, June 27, 2014 at Prattville Memorial Chapel at 3:00 pm with Chaplain Lindy Waight officiating. Visitation for friends was held from 2:00 pm to 3:00pm. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to Business Insurance Group, Sommers McCoy and Lesley Hitson for all they have done during this time.
Brown, John G., 86, a resident of Prattville, Al, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2014. Funeral Services were held at Millbrook Baptist Church on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Mike Ingram and John Maclaren officiating. Burial followed at Prattville Memory Gardens with Prattville Memorial directing. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents, John W. and Luvenia Brown and brother Lloyd A. Brown. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Ruby Brown; two sons, Dennis (Kathy) Brown and Stephen (Nancy) Brown; one daughter, Shannon (Richard) Ballard; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Charles) Reynolds, Lauren Brown and Hunter (Rebecca) Brown; two great-grandsons, John Ryan Brown and Charles Barron Reynolds; extended family and many friends. He served 21 years in United States Air Force and 16 years in United States Postal Service. Pallbearers were his grandson, Hunter Brown; nephews, Ronny McCool, Mike O'Bryant, Ralph Burroughs, Jack Oswalt and Rodger O'Bryant. The family received friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Saturday evening, June 28, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Millbrook Baptist Church Building Fund, 3431 Browns Road, Millbrook, AL. 36054.

Hello folk's. We had a quite a few upsets this past weekend, and I am sure more will come this week. I must admit, I was one of those who jumped on the Georgia bandwagon about the Bulldogs being such a good team. Well, maybe they are not that great but still a good team. Georgia, USC, Va.
