Whimsy Daisy Art Studio in Millbrook, hosted a special fundraiser, Painting for Pups, for the Humane Society of Elmore County last weekend. Children had their faces painted, by Kreative Moments in Montgomery, and worked on paintings of their own.
"We wish a special thanks to all the children and parents who came out (Saturday) to create some art, have fun and benefit our shelter. Check out all the great paintings by the children on Whimsy Daisy's Facebook page or our shelter Facebook page as they are guaranteed to make you smile," said Rea Cord, Director of HSEC.
Cord also wants to remind everyone that there are only two weeks to go until the Wags & Whiskers Auction on Friday, August 1st at the Wetumpka Civic Center, 212 S. Main Street, Wetumpka. This is the largest fundraiser for the shelter held annually.
"All the fun starts at 6:00 pm and there are well over 300 items, so something for everyone. This is both a silent and live auction event with something for everyone and you can preview every item on our special auction website at www.elmorehumane.com," Cord said.
