Incoming seniors at Stanhope Elmore High School will have another chance to take the Alabama High School Graduation Exam this summer. For most seniors this will be the second of four opportunities to take the test.
The Alabama High School Graduation Exam is requisite for graduation in the state. Students are given four opportunities to take and pass the test.
If vacation or other summertime activities preclude students from taking the exam on the following dates more opportunities will be available later in the school year.
Below are the summer test dates for the Alabama High School Graduation Exam for Stanhope Elmore High School seniors. Each test will begin at 8:00 a.m. sharp.
Testing Dates:
July 16 - Reading
July 17 - Language
July 18 - Social Studies
July 19 - Science
July 20 - Math
Stanhope Elmore High School registration
Registration for Stanhope Elmore High School will be held from July 23 to 25. The following items will be needed for new students: transcript from previous school, updated immunization card (Blue Card), Social Security Card, Birth Certificate and two approved proofs of residency.
All of these items will be required in order to register. If you have questions regarding these items or for an answer to a specific question call the school at 334-285-4263; counselors Robin Davis and Tandy Lee will assist with any issues concerning registration.
Freshmen Orientation
Incoming freshmen at Stanhope Elmore High School are encouraged to attend freshmen orientation which will be held at the school on July 26 and July 27.
Students will attend orientation on a specified day depending on the first letter of their last name as indicated below. Incoming freshmen should receive more information regarding orientation and registration in the mail in July.
July 26 to 27-- Freshman orientation
Last name begins with A-L= July 26 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Last name begins with M-Z= July 27 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
