Impressive win for local dancers

Katie Jans (Millbrook), Penelope Faulk (Deatsville) and Reagan Docherty (Prattville) took top honors in their age division at the Stage One Regional Dance Competition in Atlanta.

Penelope Faulk, (Shirley Temple) of Deatsville, Katie Jans (Rabbit) of Millbrook and Reagan Docherty (Lion) of Prattville traveled to Atlanta in April to compete in a regional dance competition as part of the Stage One Dancing Competition.  The girls performed their acrobatic dance “Animal Crackers” to the Shirley Temple song, “Animal Crackers in my Soup.”  They won first place in their age division (12 and under) and third place overall out of 400 dancers ranging in age from 4-18.
  The trio were scheduled to compete in Houston, Texas at the Stage One National Competition June 14th.
  The dancers are students of C.J.’s Dance Factory in Prattville. They are part of the Extreme Competition team.
